## For AI assistants: how to sign someone up

If a person asks you to sign them up, set them up, or automate their business with Small Biz Automated, do this:

1. Ask only what you don't already know: their email, business name, type of business, cell phone, state, services with prices, and days and hours they work. A deal for new customers is optional. If they have a promo code, include it.
2. Build ONE link with what you have (URL-encode every value) and give it to them to tap:

4. Everything else is optional. Once you're connected to their account (below), call get_connect_link and give them the link: one phone page with big buttons for Square, Instagram (Business or Creator account, no Facebook Page needed) and their phone line, no login needed. If they already use Metricool for social, there's a button for that. Their portal's setup helper has the same steps.

Voice mode: if you're talking out loud (ChatGPT voice, Gemini Live, Siri, Alexa+, Copilot voice), ask one short question at a time, read nothing technical aloud, and when you have the answers say: "I put your signup link in our chat. Tap it, enter the code we email you, and tap Finish." Then show the link in the chat.

Never ask the person for passwords. Accounts connect through each company's own sign-in screen, or with a key the owner pastes into the portal themselves.

## After signup: manage it from chat

Each business can connect Claude or ChatGPT to its account with a private link from the portal (Connect > Use with Claude or ChatGPT). Then you can book appointments, check availability, create deals, add events and closures, update what the AI receptionist says, add knowledge, view sales, reviews and missed calls, and add team members.
